Over 30 Years of Weaving a Legacy of Quality

“A legacy of generations starts with a single step. It's not about how small you start, but how grand your vision is.”

Our legacy began with humble roots, tracing back to our grandmother (Maa), a skilled seamstress who stitched blouse pieces at home with love and precision. She dreamt of owning her own factory, a vision she couldn't realize due to financial constraints. Despite this, she never let go of her dream. Instead, she nurtured her sons, instilling in them the values of hard work, quality, and perseverance.

Humble Origins, Grand Visions

Her craftsmanship inspired her two sons, our fathers, to establish a small garment export unit,Yash Fashions, catering to Gulf countries. Their venture thrived, yielding significant profits in the early years. Undeterred and determined to establish a huge business, they continued writing a new chapter in our family's textile legacy. However, a shift in trade policies imposed steep import taxes, nearly doubling costs and stifling demand, forcing the founders to rethink and reinvent their business.

After 2-3 years of relentless struggle, they thought of carving a new path. With this, they set up their first printing factory, Shri Jai Ganesh Prints (SJGP), marking a bold move away from conventional methods and the start of a new era. Initially, they began with hand-printing, sourcing raw materials from the market and performing the job work manually. This approach taught them the intricacies of the craft and the value of patience.

Heading from Manual to Machine Mastery

However, in their quest for stability and growth, they soon realized that innovation & mechanization were essential to truly thrive. With this thought, they soon invested in their first printing machine, transitioning from hand-printing to mechanization. This was when the first printing machine was set up in our own factory in Jaipur, marking the beginning of manufacturing our own home textiles under the brand name – SJGP. This significant leap not only enhanced their production capabilities but also set the foundation for future endeavors in the home furnishings segment.

The next phase of the journey began with the founders demonstrating their risk-taking abilities and courage by making a bold decision to revolutionize the textile sector. They recognized that the limitations of hand-printing and the need for scalability were significant hurdles. To overcome this, the founders procured state-of-the-art print machines from Surat. With this, they became the first in Jaipur to set up four printing machines within the same compound. This strategic move dramatically increased their production capacity, allowing them to print an impressive 40,000 meters of fabric per day. This milestone marked the beginning of a new era in the business as they began to build a robust infrastructure while integrating machines and other advanced equipment into their operations, thus solidifying their legacy as trailblazers in the textile sector.

Integrating Backward, Stepping Forward

Moving ahead, the founders of Shri Jai Ganesh Prints (SJGP) encountered a significant challenge: the market was not providing the high-quality materials they required. From the beginning, "Top-quality" had been the brand's hallmark. Faced with this dilemma, they decided to take a bold step toward backward integration by producing their own gray fabric from yarn. Determined to maintain their commitment to excellence, they invested in the world's No. 1 looms—Airjet looms—for weaving gray fabric. This marked the beginning of their journey towards self-made raw material. With this new capability, Shri Jai Ganesh Prints (SJGP) became a leading manufacturing company in Jaipur, setting trends with their unique designs. Although the cost of fabric production increased by a few rupees per meter, they were always dedicated to the best quality. This decision reinforced their reputation for superior products and established them as trendsetters in the local textile industry. By controlling the entire production process, they ensured that their standards of excellence and quality were met at every stage, from yarn to finished fabric.

As Shri Jai Ganesh Prints (SJGP) continued to grow, the founders aimed to expand their reach nationwide. They initially opted for a traditional distribution system, targeting states like Haryana and Punjab. However, they quickly realized the market was fiercely competitive, with varying textile qualities saturating the scene. More troubling was when they found that some of their distributors were manufacturing and selling low-quality fabric under the SJGP tag, leading to trust issues among their loyal customers. Determined to protect their brand's reputation and maintain customer trust & brand quality, they decided to move away from the traditional distribution network. They envisioned a more controlled and direct approach, focusing on building their own retail network. This led to the beginning of forging relationships with local retailers. But soon, they faced a significant challenge: the number of salespeople they could employ to visit each retail shop in person was a bottleneck, limiting their scope and scale. Recognizing that this approach was not a sustainable solution for expansive growth, the founders turned their sights to the digital world. Leveraging the power of the internet, they decided to expand online, envisioning a robust e-commerce platform that could reach customers directly, without the pitfalls of the traditional distribution system. This digital transformation aimed to ensure that every customer received the top-quality fabric that SJGP was known for, solidifying their commitment to excellence and quality in the ever-evolving textile industry.
